Évora: streets, squares and the Alentejo landscape
Évora's historic centre combines narrow streets, white houses and monuments from different periods.
The scale of streets and squares
The arcades of Praça do Giraldo contrast with surrounding narrow streets. The cathedral and Roman Temple mark another important focal point within the historic centre.
Beyond the walls
The route towards Guadalupe leads to the Almendres megalithic complex in Serra de Monfurado, connecting the urban landscape with a rural setting rich in archaeology.
