Alcácer do Sal
The town between the Sado and its castle
Alcácer do Sal stretches along the right bank of the Sado and rises gently towards its castle.
A hillside town
Narrow lanes and flights of steps link the lower town to the castle, making changes in ground level a defining feature of its streets.
