Preparing your project in the municipality
The starting point is the property and what you want to do. The pages for all 278 municipalities introduce the local landscape, a relief map and CertiAmb’s services to help you prepare your first enquiry.
What to gather before starting
Send the information you already have. What is needed depends on the property and the purpose of the project.
- the location of the plot or building;
- existing plans, photographs and documents;
- current and intended use;
- information about access, levels and existing buildings;
- previous works or applications, where applicable;
- priorities, project stage and intended timescale.
From initial information to a scope of work
Using these details, we define the assessment to carry out, the disciplines to coordinate and the points to clarify. Surveying the property and checking its conditions come before design decisions.
Support throughout the process
The work may include feasibility assessment, architecture, engineering disciplines, preparation of municipal submission documents and construction supervision. The scope and deliverables are set out in the proposal for each project.
The municipal map introduces the territory; assessment of a particular plot uses its location and property-specific information.

CertiAmb works across mainland Portugal, with its registered office in Cartaxo. Coverage of the 278 municipalities describes our service area; it does not mean that there is an office in every municipality.

No. CertiAmb’s registered office is in Cartaxo. The municipal pages describe our service area and the local context.
