Santiago do Cacém: historic town and lagoon coast
Santiago do Cacém combines the heritage of its castle and parish church with the archaeological complex of Miróbriga. Along the municipality's coast, Santo André lagoon and nearby beaches introduce water, dunes and pine woodland, contrasting with the urban and archaeological spaces further inland.

Miróbriga's ruins reveal houses, a forum and baths, alongside a hippodrome, showing the variety of spaces that once made up this settlement of the Roman period.
