Vila Nova de Famalicão: industry, mansions and the Pelhe valley
Vila Nova de Famalicão grew with workshops and industries, particularly in the nineteenth century. Mansions associated with emigrants returning from Brazil mark its buildings, while the Pelhe valley and Devesa Park introduce an urban green component.

Many mansions and elaborate buildings resulted from investment by families who returned from Brazil during the course of the nineteenth century.
Devesa Park
The park combines a river, lake, paths and wooded spaces, continuing the presence of water within the town's urban fabric.
