Nelas
Nelas: Santar and vineyards
In Nelas, Santar reveals a close relationship between manor houses and Dão vineyards. The settlement opens onto wine estates and wooded slopes towards the river, while other places preserve traces of much earlier occupation.
Santar and vineyards
Casa das Fidalgas and Casa do Soito form part of the route through Santar, which continues into the surrounding vineyards.
Slopes and early traces
Pinewoods appear on the descent towards the Dão. Elsewhere, monuments such as the Pramelas and Folhadal dolmens mark prehistoric occupation.
