Guimarães: medieval streets and the presence of Penha
Guimarães is defined by a historic centre of medieval streets and squares, and by Penha hill, which offers an overview of the city. Rua de Santa Maria retains the historic link between two settlement nuclei: the castle quarter and the monastery quarter.
