Entroncamento: new REN boundaries take effect on 10 October

The new boundaries of the National Ecological Reserve (Reserva Ecológica Nacional, REN) in the municipality of Entroncamento take effect on 10 October 2026. Aviso n.º 24810/2026/2 was published in the Diário da República on 9 October.
If you are considering buying land or preparing a project, this publication is a reason to check how the property is classified on the approved maps.
The annexed table identifies areas to be excluded from the REN and links them to building conditions set out in the Municipal Master Plan (PDM). Some entries concern areas threatened by flooding. Exclusion from the REN alone does not establish that land can be built on.
Each property assessment should compare its location with the maps and the applicable PDM provisions. Under Article 2 of the notice, the maps, annexed table and explanatory report can be consulted at CCDR Lisboa e Vale do Tejo and the Direção-Geral do Território.
